I've been roleplaying since the playground back in elementary school, and I'm always excited to hear and learn about new characters and plotlines! I don't know what else to say about myself, beyond that I'm queer! Most of my characters are queer!
In pre-established settings I will sometimes bend canon lore as I feel necessary, but I try to match the canon-adherence of whoever I'm roleplaying with.I run an FC called Oschon's Journey!I'm also largely a mature/dark RPer, though I'll gladly do other kinds of RP. Discuss it with me.

Elyas Kara (Ell-ee-us Kah-rah)

Originally born in the Sharlayan Colony, Elyas was raised by a pair of Hyur in Ishgard from age 4 onward. At age 9 they formed a pact with the voidsent Barbatos, restoring to them the use of the paralyzed left side of their body. At 17 they would leave the city on an errand, and be forbidden re-entry, their papers torn up. At this point they set off for Ul’dah, where they would meet Kaiyo Mikazuki 3 years later. They are an accomplished adventurer, a skilled voidsent hunter, and an occasional performer in the Masked Carnivale.Over the course of their adventures, they and Kaiyo would come to learn that they are soulmates, bound to forever find one another in any incarnation, any lifetime, no matter the difficulties. Together, the two of them run an adventuring company called Oschon's Journey.Elyas is a skilled mimic, and their Echo provides them with the ability to learn new skills incredibly quickly. Likewise, they can understand a language and speak a language after hearing a single word from a native speaker, and read and write after reading a word written by a native speaker. This comes at the cost of not having visions, which unless they are close enough to Kaiyo, provide debilitating migraines in their place. Their bond with Barbatos also enables them to easily manipulate void aether, as well as to regenerate after being injured.They are not without their weaknesses however. Levin and earth aspected aether can 'unbalance' the connection between them and their voidsent, threatening their ability to use their body. The metabolism required to regenerate on the scale they do means that poisons and drugs are incredibly effective on them. Many tricks effective against voidsent such as binding circles are effective on them as well. Overuse of their Echo's abilities leads to migraines, as well as exhaustion. They are insecure, and desperate for affection in an attempt to prove to themself that they can be loved, and that Kaiyo's love for them isn't just 'fate'.Beyond that they are kind, if not hot-headed sometimes, and strive to do what they feel is right. Emotional instability and mood swings do strike them as a result of their pact, but these have lessened with time, mostly manifesting in a recurring bloodlust at this point.They will do almost anything to protect the people they care about -- be that their parents, their siblings, or their partners and friends.Elyas's body is best described as a gymnast's build. There's a teardrop shaped brand on Elyas's right cheek, just below the eye. It's charred into their skin, and surrounding it is a patch of burn-scarred flesh. Their left ear is notched/tagged. A pair of black, demon-like horns protrudes from their head, and their body is covered in a tapestry of scars. Their left cheek has an 'x' shaped scar, while the left side of their body appears to have suffered long-faded burn scars. It also looks as though both of their arms were completely cut through and reattached at one point, based on scars that circle their biceps. Their abdomen has a tangled scar as if something the size of a human hand impaled them, and their recently became body is covered in an intricate web of scars that look almost ritualistic in nature. Their left collarbone bears a spider lily tattoo that creeps up their neck, and their right shoulder blade has a rose tattoo -- both are maroon instead of crimson. Their back is covered in a plethora of lashing marks as well.

Hooks:
- Growing up in the Brume, Elyas earned a reputation for not taking anybody's shit. Rumours abounded about "Kara the Killer," the Miqo'te who slew their own best friend in cold blood. They were also known for being a frequent target of the Inquisition, and never got directly involved in any gang activities.- Voidsent? Malicious? Part-voidsent? Elyas is a skilled voidsent hunter. Watch out!- Slaver or adjacent? Elyas really wants you dead.- Elyas's adoptive mother, Edeth Kara, works at the Skysteel Manufactory. She's a lovely, energetic woman who's incredible passionate about her work. Odds are that if you've met her she's mentioned Elyas, though... likely not that they're a Miqo'te.- For several years before starting adventuring, Elyas worked at a brothel in Pearl Lane. Their hair was still black at that point, and they didn't have quite as many scars, but they are unmistakably the same rambunctious Seeker. Chances are that a former client would be more likely to remember them than the other way around.- If Elyas is known for anything beyond their voidsent hunting and anti-slaving work in the Adventurer's Guild, it's for setting off so many landmines in the Palace of the Dead that their hair turned white from the stress. This story still embarrasses them, and they can't seem to outrun it no matter how hard they try. By that same token, this act, along with surviving many other things that should have killed an ordinary individual, earned them the epithet "The Immortal Elyas."- For those with knowledge of or ties to ancient Mhach, Elyas strongly resembles N'ekros Avet, retainer to a well-renowned noble. They were accused of treason and sentenced to death, of which they survived three execution attempts. Their last known status before the Great Flood was simply rotting away the rest of their days in prison instead.- Elyas was missing for about two moons. Perhaps you saw the missing person posters?

Artellius Ralverd

Created in a laboratory deep below Sharlayan, Artellius was the product of the Kratos Institute. Raised to be a weapon for Zodiark, Artellius rebelled against the training and programming at age 12, setting the entire facility on fire. They became a ward of the Sharlayan state, and would be so until they reached adulthood. At age 25 they would kill their twin, Harkyn Ralverd, unwittingly continuing the experiment that had started with their birth. An Archon on the subject of Ascians, Artellius is a powerful ally in Kaiyo and Elyas's travels, especially with their traveling airship clinic, The Athena. They are a renowned doctor, even with their… quirks, and their eccentric presence is known to many in their homeland. They're also married to Forum member N'zhet Ralverd.After a duel with their twin, Artellius lost one of their arms, which has since been replaced by a rather unique magitek prosthetic.

Hooks:- Artellius is a Sharlayan Archon. Perhaps your character is familiar with their work? Perhaps your character has attended a guest lecture or seminar they've given at the Studium.- Artellius studied somanoutics and aetherology at the studium over a century ago. Any older Viera who were there at the time may recognize them as having been... incredibly off-putting and a little aggressive. They were also known for conducting dangerous experiments using themself as a test subject.- Artellius's clinic spends much of its time in war torn lands, as well as those riddled with hardship. Perhaps the Athena gave your character succor in a time of need?- Artellius is an Ascian. Perhaps your Ascian knew Hippocrates, a Word of Emmerololth, in the world unsundered. Perhaps your character hunts Ascians and noticed their distinct lack of a shadow.- About a century ago there was a Vieran politician in Sharlayan named Harkyn Ralverd, to whom Artellius bears more than a passing resemblance. Harkyn vanished about a century ago. Perhaps your character recognizes this connection?

Ira Blau

Ira was born in Werlyt during the Garlean occupation, and was a close friend of Kaiyo Mikazuki’s. After their parents were conscripted, both of them (as well as five of their other friends,) wound up at the same orphanage. Kaiyo was adopted a few years later, and after that the rest of the Raen were rounded up by the Kratos Institute, a Garlean institution dedicated to unethical experimentation. Ira has been witness to or part of several pivotal moments in history during their time as a slave — they were in the VIIth for the Battle of Carteneau, the XIIth for the Doman and Ala Mhigan Wars of Independence, and in the VIIth once more during the Weapons Project. By the time of the Final Days they were in the IIIrd Legion, eventually fleeing from the Legion and regaining their freedom.
They operated as both a sniper and a warmachina pilot.

Hooks:
- Ira's scales are a bright icy blue, freezing to the touch, and surrounded by what almost looks like Allagan-esque circuitry engraved into their skin.- Ira's eyes look to be a little unnatural, and they seem to almost shift and turn when staring at someone else's eyes.- Ira spent time with several legions, as listed above. Perhaps your character interacted with them there, during their time as a slave.- To those keen to the souls of others in some way, one may notice that Ira's body harbors within it a total of six souls. Likewise, to those who can see aether, their skeleton would appear incredibly aetherially dense.- Ira speaks with a distinctly Werlyn accent, and they sometimes default to speaking in Garlean for ease of communication. They also sometimes speak in a dialect of the old Au Ri tongue that's rather localized to the culture of Werlyn Raen.

Valentine Angelo

Valentine was born in a small village called Frontiera, situated rather neatly on the border between Mhach and Amdapor. Valentine's closest friends were N'ekros and Lockhart. At age 7, N'ekros was "adopted" by an N tribe noble, as was the custom for those without parents or from poorer families. The two never saw each other again, and eventually both Valentine and Lockhart enlisted in the Amdapori army.Valentine became the captain of his unit, which included Lockhart (his lieutenant), and overtime she earned a reputation for her effective, precise leadership. This reputation led them into the embrace of Annaliese Solae, the daughter of one of the Council of Magi's members -- Elio Solae. For petty reasons unknown to Valentine, Elio despised them, and so a plan was hatched.After providing aid to Mhachi civilians fleeing a battle, Valentine was arrested and court martialed. It was (wrongfully) accused of treason, and sentenced to "Forgiveness," a procedure in which a being from another plane of existence is bound to someone as a means of punishment and reform. So it was that Valentine became the Forgiven Charity, and joined his Forgiven brethren in the Angelo Regiment.2000 years after the Great Flood, Valentine awoke within the ruins of the Lost City of Amdapor, and began to wander the world in confusion. In order to avoid the stagnation of their own aether by the Sin Eater within, they must feed on the aether of others.Valentine is emotionally stunted, rather genuine and blunt, and completely susceptible to the instruction of a White Mage.

Hooks:
- To those with aethersight, and even to some without, Valentine would appear overwhelmed with light, practically on the border of turning into a Sin Eater. Golden seams run throughout their body, occasionally glowing brighter.- Valentine fights using a style reminiscent of Amdapori knights, and for good reason -- before the Flood, he was one, and not one of little repute. Any with ties to Amdapor may recognize her name as that of someone once betrothed to a daughter of a Councillor on the Council of Magi. Before being found guilty of treason, that is.- Valentine sometimes looks at people... a little hungrily, particularly if their aether is notably different from those around them.

Scarlet Myste

Scarlet is not native to the world of Hydaelyn, nor is she native to the world from where she came. She belonged to a world beset by strife, humans and machines in conflict. But heroes in bright colors saved the domed city, at least from that threat.3 months later, the Heartless descended, laying ruins to the world. Scarlet awoke to the ability to wield a keyblade and was spirited away to Daybreak town, where she would remain for the next 7 years. After her best friend Tala went missing on a routine mission, Scarlet went looking for her -- only to be pulled into the same world she was.Stranded and unable to return to Daybreak town, Scarlet has taken to adventuring, continuing to help those in need. She remains ever wary of the potential for the Heartless to appear -- after all, if one's heart is their guiding key, then she and Tala must be here for a reason.

The Wanderer

The Wanderer, as they are sometimes called, hails from a space between spaces -- Cyberspace. Wherever a network exists, they can travel, and they usually do so in the pursuit of objects or phenomena referred to as "Gates." Gates connect a world directly to Cyberspace, allowing threats and individuals from either world to enter the other -- a dangerous proposal.They claim to be bad at violence, to abhor it, to be unable to stomach it. But is this the truth? Few can say, and fewer will. Regardless, wherever they go they help those in need, never asking for compensation.Those with the ability to see the natural energy of a world (aether, for example), would note The Wanderer to be completely bereft of it. Those who can see souls would see what appears to be a proper soul, but is revealed to be a facsimile upon closer inspection.

Faust Ghast

Faust Ghast has been alive for a very long time. Ever since he inherited his curse, Faust has been forced to drain the blood of other living beings in order to stay alive -- but so long as he does, he can live forever. Well, and assuming he doesn't fall to any other of the vampires' traditional weaknesses.He has been a noble of many kinds -- Allagan, Mhachi, Ishgardian -- and his coin has been made in the darkest of markets, the sale of human life into chains. If a slaving ring exists, Faust is sure to have at least one finger in its pot. In the same vein, he has a veritable trove of those he has passed his curse onto -- beholden to his words and intentions. Many of them have white or blue hair with pink tips.For as long as he can recall, Faust has been particularly fixated on a single pair of souls -- those of Kaiyo Mikazuki and Elyas Kara. Wherever the latter soul goes, in fact, Faust is sure to find his way.In cases where it is acceptable, Faust's curse originates from being a shard of Hesperos. Otherwise, it is simply a coincidence.

Hooks:
- Does your character have connections to Allag, Mhach, or Ishgard? Good news! Faust has lived through all of those as a noble!- Hunter of things that go bump in the night? Faust only seems to travel or go out at night, and is rather quick to go back indoors before the sun is out.- White or blue hair, preferably with pink highlights? Pink or amber eyes? Oho, he wants you...!

Harkyn Izunia

Artellius Ralverd's twin, Harkyn was not subject to the machinations of the Kratos Institute directly, initially. They were given a family, a normal life, and lived to be 25 -- at which point they were killed by Artellius as a part of the Institute's experiments.Harkyn's soul was immediately pulled into a cloned body, and so began the second part of the experiment: to see which sibling would "win". Harkyn was kept in a pod for about 70 more years, after which they were ejected into Northern Tural.In Northern Tural, Harkyn was able to use the Ralverd family's wealth to become a philanthropist of sorts, starting a school for those with the Echo, or other aetheric oddities. This Socratic School, as it was called, was simply a front for the largely defunct Kratos Institute to continue its work. They have considered opening a sister-location in Old Sharlayan, but are trying to take the time to ensure that their twin doesn't simply undo all of their hard work.

Hooks:
-There is a Sharlayan Archon and doctor named Artellius Ralverd, to whom Harkyn bears more than a passing resemblance. Perhaps your character recognizes this connection?- Harkyn is an Ascian. Perhaps your Ascian knew Socrates, a word of Loghrif, in the world unsundered. Perhaps your character hunts Ascians and noticed their distinct lack of a shadow.- Interesting corporeal aether? Unique abilities? Weaponizable traits? Harkyn may want to offer your character a spot at the Socratic School, a special school they run for individuals who seek to hone their special abilities.

Telestos Nuven

Telestos Nuven is four things above all else: a gambler, an alcoholic, a diviner, and a slut. Gifted with the Echo, Telestos receives random and periodic visions of the future -- futures that will be, futures that may be, and futures that absolutely will not be. It isn't very specific, nor is it easy to tell which one is which sort, and yet Telestos tries all the same.After landing in copious amounts of debt Telestos was taken in by the Socratic school. They've recently found themself loosed from their bonds, and dealing with the consequences of several years of unpaid debts, among other things.They hate wearing a shirt, preferring to show off their top surgery scars beneath an unzipped or unbuttoned jacket.

Hooks:
- Telestos owes several hundred thousand gil to multiple parties, a debt which has only compounded with their five year absence. They may have a few minor bounties on their head by this point.- Telestos is from the Brume, and became friends with Elyas Kara in their teenage years.- Telestos is blind, but can "see" by focusing on the flow of aether between objects or people. This is an extension of their divinatory magic.

Landanel Castellot

The result of centuries of selective breeding and eugenics, Landanel is bound to the slumbering voidsent Castellot, contained within his body by arcane tattoos. His magicks are powerful, and his skill as a tactician is something to be reckoned with. Prior to the Final Days, he was in the Imperial IIIrd legion.

Zephyr Durandal

Orphaned at a young age, Zephyr found themself in a position quite a few Pureblooded orphans did -- in the arms of the Kratos Institute, a Garlean organization keen on unethical experimentation. Trained to use a gunblade from the moment they could wield one, Zephyr was a continuation of two experiments: that which Ira and their friends were a part of, and that to create a multi-aspected living weapon.Of course, being a Pureblooded Garlean posed a challenge in this regard; but it was nothing the Institute's brightest minds couldn't handle. A plethora of surgeries later, and Zephyr was able to channel aether -- though only one element at a time, much to the chagrin of their tormentors. When they channel an element, their entire aether's aspect also changes to that element -- and they cannot change at will. There is a physical component involved, and one they are remiss to show another living being.Zephyr has served in the XIVth, XIIth, and IVth legions. The latter two they were under the purview of Damocles Sarkissian. Despite being trained to use a gunblade, their primary purpose was as a warmachina pilot.They're a bit of a dick.

Hooks:- Zephyr has a barcode on the back of their neck (marked 136-09-ZD), above what appears to be a neural interface port for warmachina. This port is somewhere between Garlean and Allagan in design, closer to the latter. Both are often hidden by their hair or shirt collar.- Zephyr's eyes are not always the same color, and as time goes on, they tend to become duller, eventually draining to a neutral sort of grey.- Zephyr has a kestrel named Gerbera as a companion. Even if Gerbera isn't on their person, he can likely be seen circling in the skies above.- Prior to being orphaned, Zephyr assisted their father at a zoo in the Garlean capital. Perhaps you met them there, two decades ago?

Jacques Francois Danton

Jacques is a former member of the Prima Vista theatre company, kicked out for rude and improper conduct toward other cast-members. Trained in the art of song and acting, Jacques has begrudgingly accepted the wandering bard stereotype. He's found mild success in recounting the tales of Eorzea's many adventurers, but is mostly waiting for that "big hit" he swears is on the way.

Spiritus Machina

Once the child of Allagan researchers, Spiritus's soul and consciousness were transferred into an Allagan node. Eventually they became a hivemind and virus, spreading throughout every interconnected device in the empire. Nowadays they have a new lease on life, and walk around in a borrowed doll body.

Hooks:
- Have an Allagan device? Prosthetic? Other macguffin? Spiritus might be infecting it!
- Can you see souls? Spiritus doesn't seem to have one!
